The moon was a cresant strung high in the sky the night Kindle left camp. He walked along a semi-familiar trail, guided by the scent of Duskglimmer and himself from the previous day, until he reached a clearing- if one could call it a clearing. Dead trees were the only trees that grew in Pyro Clan territory, and now they cast the clearing in grim shadows. One faint light guided Kindle, and soon he stood before a small flower. The fire orchid seemed so precious and weak, but what Kindle was about to do he was sure was harmless to it. Slowly and carefully the Pyro Clan warrior reached a paw to the centre of the flower. Holding another paw out to catch the seeds, Kindle gentle brushed the cluster of seeds off the flower. The little flower didn't flicker for even a moment, and Kindlesnarl let out the breath he'd been holding. Now onto step two. He selected a spot not to far from the original fire orchid, next to a large rock. Kindlesnarl didn't know what conditions the fire orchid grew in, and as far as he knew, it was one of a kind. But not for long. Kindle pawed at the dry earth, scraping away dirt until a substance hole formed. Then he carefully placed the seeds in and covered them with earth. The kindhearted tom knew little about caring for plants, but he had spent a great deal of time watching them. Something about something he couldn't touch fascinated him. Kindle looked around, searching for something to transport lava with- as he figured that was the backwards logic this plant functioned on. After a while he gave up. Travelling to the nearby lava pools, the dark pelted warrior settled on taking a mouthful of lava and carrying it back in this mouth. Kindlesnarl did this every day for a few moons, until the new flower was strong and beautiful. Once he deemed it ready, Kindle dipped his head and picked it. Thankfully, the flower didn't dim like Kindle worried it would. He held it high as he headed towards the spot where he'd told Smokecourage to meet him. It was late afternoon, and if he timed it right, by the time Kindle said everything he wanted to say, it should be sun-down, meaning he would get to show his buddy the most beautiful thing in the world.
