Hello! and welcome to Veils and Vistas! If a role means taken you can still audition for it. The way the casting is if i like your voice ill cast you as the part but if i find some better ill change it. This show will follow the adventures of Nyle a young adult (16-19) as they help spirits transition to the afterlife (or whatever happens next...) by helping them clear up conflicts and etc. The way this will work is you will audition for a character(s),then choose what ever lines you want, if I like your audition I will give you some lines for your character. (im still thinking of them) There will be more characters listed as we go! Nyle (main) taken by @chanceanimates age: 15-19 Gender: non binary Nyle is the main character. they are not very excited for this job but eventually they start to like it. they make friends along the way (Eric etc) Cause of Death: Accidental overdose Backstory: Nyle was a bright student burdened by immense pressure to succeed. Struggling with anxiety and feeling isolated, they turned to self-medication as a way to cope. One fateful night, Nyle accidentally took too much, leading to a tragic overdose. In death, Nyle finds themselves at the Spirit Center, seeking redemption and understanding, and hoping to help others avoid the mistakes they made. (angry) what are YOU doing here, mara? (confused) Wait, what? YOUR RELATED??? (annoyed, and flat) hello and welcome to the wonderful ghost rehab center, where we help you die easy. (under breath) man, we gotta change that. Eric (main) taken by @-DuckyDontKnow- age 16-19 gender: preferably male Nyles best friend. they are fun and very optimistic. they help Nyle a lot through out the show. Cause of Death: Skateboarding accident Backstory: Eric was the adventurous type, always pushing boundaries and looking for the next thrill. One day, while attempting an impressive trick on a steep ramp, he lost control and fell. The accident was sudden and shocking, but Eric's spirit remains optimistic and playful, eager to support Nyle and the other spirits. He often jokes about his reckless past, using humor to mask the deeper pain of his untimely death. lines (joking) Being dead is just like being alive, except you can float—and you never have to do homework again! Mabel (worker at the center) Age: 30 Gender: Female Backstory: Died peacefully in her sleep. Mabel was a nurturing mother and passionate gardener. She shares wisdom and humor, always ready to offer guidance to younger spirits. lines: (warm) Welcome to the Spirit Center, Nyle! Ready to learn the ropes of ghostly hospitality? Jakie (main-ish ghost 1 first few episodes) age: 20-22 gender: female Died in a car crash on a bridge. jakie was a deppressed over worked graphic designer. she had just got out of a toxic relation ship before the car crash. Finn (ghost 2) Age: 10 Gender: Male Backstory: Died from a terminal illness. Finn was a curious and imaginative child with a love for storytelling. He brings a sense of wonder and creativity to the center, inspiring others to embrace their inner child. lines BOO! hehehehe i got you! Leo (ghost 3/ ends up staying at the center with his mom) Age: 30 Gender: Male Backstory: Was one of mabels kids! Died in a hiking accident. Leo was an adventurous travel blogger who lived for thrills. He encourages others to embrace life but grapples with the consequences of his reckless spirit. Lines: (suprised) MOM!?!?!? (embarassed) yea so funny story.... boulder. Amir (ghost 4) MUST BE ABLE TO SING!! Age: 25 Gender: Male Backstory: Died in a motorcycle accident. Amir was a free-spirited musician known for his passionate performances. He often reminisces about his dreams and encourages others to pursue theirs. (Sample of you singing about a girl by nirvana) (scared) SO THAT WASNT A DREAM!?!?!? Talia (ghost 5) Age: 26 Gender: Female Backstory: Died in a domestic fire. Talia was a passionate chef who loved cooking. She’s fiery and outspoken, using humor to mask her pain while sharing her culinary wisdom with others. Mara (villian) taken by Age: 28 Gender: Female Backstory: Died in a mysterious fire that she may have intentionally set. Mara was a manipulative and cunning art dealer who used others for her gain. In death, she seeks to control the spirits at the center, drawing them into her web of deceit. She’s charismatic and persuasive, using her charm to mask her darker intentions. Mara often sows conflict among the other spirits, pushing them to confront their pasts in harmful ways, all while maintaining an air of innocence. Her ultimate goal is to escape her own guilt by causing chaos for others. (mocking) Eating children, duh!!
