so as you all know i'm a freshman this year. at the beginning of the year i was offered a place on the varsity volleyball team. this was a great honor considering im the only freshman on the team. im the only freshman to be invited to join (who has accepted the invite) since 2018. my teachers still expect to get every assignment in on time while also expecting me to help lead our school to victory. that is an unrealistic standard. i'm requested to wake up every morning at 4 am to be able to make it to weightlifting by 5 and have time to shower and be ready for school to start a 8. they expect me to not be tired and yell at me when i even lay my head on my desk. im at school each day from 4:30 in the morning until 5:30 pm and the teachers expect me to have every assignment turned in by 6 each night. i cant balance volleyball and the life of a high schooler. ik i cant quit on my team but ik that i literally cant quit on my grades. what am i supposed to do? does anybody have any tips?
