LAST CHAPTER: Bunny fighters aged 5-12 are attending Bunnypaw Academy; and that includes Crystal, too! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crystal awoke to the sunlight filtering through her blinds. She glanced at her clock; it was barely 6 in the morning, and her 1st day at B.A. started at 8:30. She couldn't go back to sleep, so she put on her uniform and went down to the main hall, where Diamondtail was surrounded by some rabbits. "...And use grass and dirt chunks to cover the burrow holes. Also, set secret security cameras up..." Crystal was confused. Were the defences growing weaker? She went into a hole to escape out to the hill... ...and ran into a round wall of dirt where a burrow hole should have been. "Ow!" she cried, as the wall started to fall, revealing the bright outside. She clambered out, realizing that it had been a chunk of dirt topped with grass to hide the hole from outsiders. She sighed as she put the ball back. This confirmed her suspisions of the burrow in danger. But she pushed the thought aside. She had other stuff on her mind. She crunched down on some fresh, cool grass for her breakfast, but could hardly eat. She was too jittery, and birds were in her stomach instead of butterflies. Suddenly Ocean was beside her. "Hey," He said. "Are ya ready for school?" "I guess," Crystal managed. "Good, 'cause it's time to go," said Ocean . . . That night, Crystal lay in bed recapping the day's events. The only subject she liked was art, and the teacher, Miss Skye, was sweet and easygoing. The other subjects were hard, and the teachers were pretty strict. Especially battle training, which was specifically for young fighters. Their teacher, Mr. Hart, pushed them to practice clawing their opponents by slashing at tough straw dummies, which made their paws raw and their claws blunt. At least lunch was good. They served carrot pie and grass pasta and stuff like that. Suddenly excuasted, she fell into a deep sleep.
