As Histeria ate breakfast, which was pancakes (yummy), she noticed Jake who was avoiding her. "can you pass the honey?", she asked Jake. He silently passed her. "Did I do something wrong? Why does he look like he is trying to ignore me? avoid me?", These were some of the thoughts which kept distracting Histeria through out breakfast."Guys, should we play hide and seek? Mom and dad are out till late night", Laura said. Histeria thought that Laura was the only one cheerful and decided to put on a smile. "Sure. Jake, Ash, let's play. You can show me around too", Histeria said as she forced a smile and it worked a little bit. No one atleast saw her red eyes, she thought. "No. I need to study. I will meet you guys later", Jake said and went off. Ashlee just stood silent. "I don't think I feel like it right now Hist. We'll play later, when there are more people.", Ashlee said and left. Histeria decided to follow Jake. She caught up with him on the stairs. "Why are you avoiding me?", she asked as she held his hand. "Who said that? I am not avoiding you", Jake asked, turning a little pale. "Oh, did someone tell you that you are a terrible liar?", Histeria scoffed. "I am not lying", Jake insisted. Histeria left him. "Fine", she said and walked back down. Sitting down on the couch, Histeria felt bored. What could she do? How should she make Jake admit that he wasn't feeling good? Suddenly, Histeria knew what she had to do. She ran to her room and took out her guitar. After setting it up, she opened her room door and then knocked on Jake's door. She sat down on her bed, and started to strum. Jake came out of his room and as expected, came to see the source of the sound. As soon as he entered, Histeria closed her eyes and began to play 'Alone', second version. She was so nervous but if she could convince Jake to tell her if he was okay then it was worth it. As soon as she was done, a smile lit across her face. Her first audience had been Jake. "That was...amazing! Where did you learn to play like that?", he asked. "My elder brother had taught me", She replied. "So, you knocked on my door?", he asked. "Yeah...", Histeria trailed off. She was still not sure whether Jake would tell her or not. Shuffling her feet, she looked down at her guitar. "Something wrong?", Jake asked. "N-no. I just wanted you to know that I am here, if you know. You want to share something that is bothering you", Histeria replied. She was just considering the chances of Jake telling her when she felt a tear go down her cheek. She wiped it off quickly before Jake could see it.
