~ continued ~ She fixed her face, and reached for his hand, (btw she doesnt know many emotions yet so she cant feel embarrased or atraction or anthing yet but she will learn) "come on, i know a place nearby where we can hide away for a bit" .He nodded quietly. She led him away twords an old treehouse on her radar. it was submerged well within the trees, so nobody knew about it. He looked up at the treehouse in awe. "I never knew this was here..." . Celeste smiled for the first time since she was created, "Its usually completly under the radar, but I managed to find it," She started to climb up the ladder "come on!" Adrik started to follow behind her, too amazed at the tree house to think of anything else. It was cooler than he would have thought to imagine. Celeste saw a dusty bean bag chair and blew off the dust, continuing to sit down in it. He stood up, looking around at the relic. "W-wow..." "its amazing right?," she said "Anyways, I'm concerned for you. why don't you st down and help me understand why you had so many bruises?" He looked down, his eyes still and nervous. "I-I'd rather not talk about..." He twitched, his eyes flashing again, his breath heavy. She walked up to him and put her hands on his shoulders "hey, its fine. Nobody should have to do anything if their not ready, but, i want to help." He continued to look down but nodded softly. "O-ok..." she didnt know what to do, so she hugged him again. Adrik stood still again, lost in the warmth of her hug, the original feelings coming back over him. and so it went on, for the next 4 or so years, they would meet up at the tree house, usually Celeste would get there first, and run to hug him when he arrived. she occasionally had to heal him, and he tried his best to teac h her emotion, but they worked together to stay positive through the hard times. Until one day, Celeste wasnt waiting for him to get there. she didn't hug him either. she just sat, in the corner of the tree house, shaking wildly. (they are now 11 and 12 [Celeste being younger] ) As Adrik climbed up the ladder that day, for some reason he had this feeling that something was wrong today. His eyes flashed and he grimaced, his hands almost slipping, but he continued to slowly climb, to his effort. As he pulled himself over the edge, wincing, he looked over to where Celeste would usually be and instead saw her in the corner, shaking. He ran over to her, worried. This had never happened before. He'd never seen her in this condition before. Celeste saw Adrik enter the room, and attempted to cover her bl00d stained shirt. she couldent stop shaking, and she didnt know why, so she positioned herself sitting in a corner with her knees to her chest. Adrik stopped in front of her and sat down quietly, not noticing the blood. "Celeste... Are y-you okay?" He asked softly. She shook her head "N-no no no no no, Its- I- Hes dead. hes dead hes dead hes dead." He looked at her worriedly. "Wh-what do you mean?" "I-I-I," her voice switched to a whisper "i tried. I tried so hard, I tried to be strong . im sorry. i couldent, the knife, it was right there, Annd he was sleeping." her voice glitched "Oh no no no no nonnoononnooono." He looked scared but looked her in the eyes. "You... killed him? Y-your dad?" His eyes flashed and he had the urge to say, 'good for you', but shook his head. He tried not to listen to the voice. She nodded "I - I hated him. I hated him so much. But, the stress, my code, Im- Im not.......curently......functioning.....right......." He looked at her, eyes solemn, before getting up and hugging her. "I-It'll be okay..." She hugged him back, silent tears streaming down her face. and she stopped shaking He continued to hug her, wanting to say something but feeling that silence was what they needed after a few minutes, she started to feel better, so she pulled back from the hug and wiped her face. "thanks. I - i feel better now." she sighed "But, Im going to have to move here- into the treehouse. uhm maybe I can expand it a bit." He nodded solemnly and pulled back also. "Y-your welcome..." He looked down. "That'd work really well." "I-sorry. uh, how was your day?" she asked He looked back up at her. "It was... um, good. But are *you* okay? If you n-need help I can help y-you, if needed?" She shook her head "I-i want to forget about it" He nodded quietly. It seemed silly in her head. why would she forget it? it was engraved in her database. "No," she whispered "I don't think I'll ever be able to forget this."
Two more years passed, with Celeste adjusting to her new life and home, and Adrik still struggling with his parents and school, the flashing lights further affecting him psychologically. They would try to keep to their previous schedule, but with Adrik's parents further inflicting the "therapy" on him, it was harder and harder for him to be able to do anything. Then one day, he appeared at Celeste's treehouse slicked with bl00d,and grinning, grimacing, and crying at the same time. As soon as Adrik walked into the tree house, Celeste ran up to him "What happend! are you okay, are you hurt?" her eyes filled with concern He looked down at his bloody hands, smiling sadly. "I snapped. I got rid of them." She gasped lightly, remembering the time when she........ 'nope not going to think about it' she told herself. She remembered how she had felt, thinking that he might not feel exactly the same but she hugged him anyways. she hugged him as passionately as possible. not just to help him, but also because she was secretly proud of him. He laid his head on her shoulder, his head aching and his eyes flashing as he sobbed, mostly silent. It had happened so quickly, so fast. It overwhelmed him. And it scared him of the remorse he didn't have. Celeste could feel that he was crying, and she ran a quick scan just to make sure he wasn't hurt, She noticed his eyes were flashing again, but there wasn't anything life-demolishing on hand. so she kept hugging him. mostly because she thought it might help, but also because she didnt know what to say yet. Adrik sniffled, wanting to close his eyes but scared of what he might see if he did so. What if he hurt anyone else the way he did his parents? It had felt so good then, but so overwhelming now. -------------> continue here pls: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1071925244/
