Controls: Arrow keys to move and up to jump. Down to spin and hold x to boost. Object: Run as far as possible! Starting: Press space to start. Daily Challenges: Challenge 1: Stay away from fire hydrants! Challenge 2: Stay away from rocks! Challenge 3: Avoid the Crabmeat's shots! (This is hard to do because the Crabmeat shoots homing bullets) Repeat Remix Tips: Add more obstacles! Change the logo! Just play around with Scratchy's jump height. Add a boss (perhaps Eggman. I mean, he's on the game over screen)!
Sonic like game. So, the Scratch Cat's 2 walking frames actually let him "run", so I set up a game of it. Thank you, plasma3 (and SEGA) for the music! This started out as a random Scratch 1.4 project of him running with only jumping (space bar). Now here it is, on Scratch 2.0 with movement! Hope you enjoy! Level 2 coming soon! Rewards (I don't know how far you traveled if you don't comment!): 100 meters = 1 love it 200 meters = 10 love its + a follow 300 meters = 20 love its + a follow + helps with Red button 2 400 meters = 30 love its + a follow + helps with level 2: Marble Zone A million meters = Everything + 1 nice comment on every page you own that the public can see and comment on (even your profile page!) + Free membership to Scratch Realms Change Log (originally Update Log): 1.0: Initial Release, rough jumping, lower jumping, and no hazards. 1.1: Lots of hazards, with some -- Uh-oh! -- following Scratch Cat, also smoother jumping. To make sure no one cheats, there's a hazard (for this game only) that's -- OH NO! -- on your keyboard: the UP arrow key. Jump height also increased. Also keeps distance in meters using the division block. 1.2: Daily challenges, another jump height increase, and click and jump/start (crucial for playing on mobile devices with Photon Flash Player and Browser), as well as hazards popping up later. Lightning also doesn't kill you instantly. Sped up jumps as well. 1.3: Gave up on mobile-compatibility and removed the lightning. Also increased the jump height. Weird jumping removed for the Scratch Cat now has to touch the black in the background (not the green) to be on the ground.Jump speed increased further. 1.4 (The Spin Update/The Game Changer): Up now spin jumps. The Scratch Cat also will get hurt upon touching the crabmeat, but not his bullets. The Scratch Cat can now spin by pressing down and hold x to boost. Boosting affects score, distance, total score, total distance (two new additions), and speed of moving objects. Note that you can't boost forever, this is because it would be overpowered if you could. Not wanting people to achieve ridiculous distances real easy, I set a limit: 100. This value, stored in a variable called Boost, decreases by 1 while you're holding x, but if this value is less than maximum and you're not holding x, this value goes back up to 100 at a slower rate than it goes down to 0. This limits how long you can boost for in one sitting of x-holding. You can't spam it either - there's a half-second delay before you get the slightest bit of boost back. The Crabmeat now pops up as soon as the laptop leaves, and the title screen now has music and the "Press Space" prompt doesn't pop up until the title screen music finishes, and flashes until you press space. Also Scratchy has new sprites by me. 1.5 (The Sound Update): Scratchy has the Sonic 1 jump and spin sound effects, and plays them when jumping and spinning, respectively. I, Herobrine95, also don't increase the totals anymore. Scratchy now also has to be on the brown in the background to be on the ground so he doesn't get triggered by the Crabmeat's bullet. 1.6: The game has a new logo. A game over screen was added. 1.7: The Crabmeat's bullets now hurt Scratchy. AGAIN. 1.8: A version number is on the bottom left corner of the title screen.
