Zelda’s POV I just escaped from the castle! I feel so free, so alive, so relived from all the expectations! It was dreadfully dark though, and that meant there could be monsters lurking by… I spotted a weapon shop from the corner of my eye and ran to it. By the time I got there, I was out of breath. Luckily, it wasn’t closed. “Hello ma’am, what can I get you?” The lady asked. “Hmm…I’d like that bow and that sword please.” She went over and picked them Up and put them in front of me. “50 rupees!” She said. I handed them over, shouldered my sword, and walked away. It was getting way darker, hard to even see one foot in front of the other. Suddenly, I heard a roar of thunder. “Curses.” I mutter under my breath. Thunder meant lighting and lighting meant rain which meant getting wet! I looked around for a shelter but found none. I decided to take a bridge that said it would lead to riverside stable! I ran towards it when I felt a drop of water. I gasped and started running faster, but it was too late. The water became a downpour, drenching my outfit. “Bloody hell..” I muttered under my breath. I trudged the rest of the way to the stable, soaking wet. Finally, it came into view. “1 regular bed please.” I told the stable hand. He pointed to it and ushered me inside. I looked in my bag for a change of clothes and changed into it and slid into bed, pulling the covers over me. ~3 hours later~ I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I groggily rubbed my eyes and checked the time.4:02 A.M. I groaned and sat up. I reluctantly changed my clothes and ties my hair up with a blue band. I sighed. The adrenaline had wore of by now, and every muscle in my body ached with pain. I winced as I walked to the entrance of the stable. I pulled on my boots and zipped them up. They sort of cushioned my calves, so that took away some pain. I dug in my bag for a compass and found one. “Let’s see.. darn you, they don’t teach how to read compasses in the castle!” I sighed and walked outside. Luckily, the rain had stopped, but the ground was muddy and squelching. I looked up and saw the sky was still dark. Figures, it was still before sunrise. I was worried someone would catch me to be the princess, so I swiftly ran away. I was out of breath in an instant, panting like a dog. “I’m- so- out of-breath- *pant*”. I was also exhausted from waking up at 4 AM, only sleeping like 3 hours. “It wouldn’t hurt if I slept here for like 5 minutes right…?” I mumbled, and dropped to the ground like a bag of hearty radishes. I woke up to a loud, booming gong noise. My eyebrows shot up. That was the castle’s bell! They probably found out I was missing! I did a quick stretch, picked up my bag, and ran, faster then I ran before. A burst of adrenaline ran through my body and I sprinted away. I thought I saw a flash of blond hair in the trees. I feared it was one of the guards and I ran super far. Seconds later, I was on the ground, covered in mud and gasping for air. I was exhausted from running but I pushed myself up. I took a couple of steps before tripping and twisting my ankle. I winced in pain. “Dammit!” I exclaimed. I saw the flash my hair again. I pushed my self up but my body ached in protest. I couldn’t do anything. I was helpless. The rush of adrenaline was long gone, and here I was. Either a guard or criminal, I would be imprisoned again. My vision blurred as I passed out, the last vision that stupid ugly blonde flash of hair. I wake up to blue eyes staring at me. I jump up in suprise. “W-who ARE you?” “I’m…”
