Roll is a simple 5-channel synthesizer using Scratch's MIDI-esque engine. You can compose music using 2 lead tracks (1 & 2), 2 bass tracks (3 & 4), and 1 drum track. Each song is split into frames, each is 8 steps. Use the lower-right buttons to add, remove, or switch frames. It also supports save & load through the use of passcodes. To show passcode, hold space and press 'e', the process takes time, so please be patient for the passcode to appear onscreen! Once it appears, write it down and then press space to continue. To insert passcode, hold space and press 'i'. To erase a note in the grid, hold space while clicking on its step. As a freebie, I shall place this code here for you to see its song loading capabilities (props to whoever can identify the original song): 13_1_6_6_100_100_100_100_100_2_5_14_-1_-1_2_5_14_-1_-1_16_-1_17_16_17_16_12_9_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_$-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_$-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_$-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_$-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_-1_
A lot of the black magic that goes on inside the note grid & piano is basically coordinate mapping & cloning. Feel free to remix this and add features! Notes: It takes a while to load past the splash screen because it is generating the note grid. Sound quality isn't great due to limitations within Scratch itself. Turbo mode sometimes solves lag related to song playback. It does introduce lag to the buttons, however.
