⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . foreword . welcome all, the RiverClan team has decided to put together this lovely little project that highlights the reasons why a prefix might be denied when signing up for a nursery slot. So now roleplayers can have guidelines to hopefully allow them to not have any of their reserved prefixes denied when going through the system! now a few of these are RiverClan specific, but most of these will apply to all clans regardless of how their nursery system operates. if you have any questions that haven’t been answered after reading this project and checking the Q&A, please feel free to shoot any of RC’s staff a message or leave a comment on this project, as others might have the same question as you. ⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . guidelines . . riverclan specific . - anything that is over/under the character limit ( read more and ask character limit specific questions here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1012237220 ) - if a living character in RiverClan shares the same prefix . roleplay-wide . - the prefix eclipse will never be accepted in any group/clan, in memorial to a roleplayer who unfortunately passed a few years ago - if a prefix is too broad ( ex. a common name for a flower is fine, but a name for the genus would be considered too broad )** - anything that would realistically be not known by a cat ( examples would be human words like summer, things like that )** . exceptions ( anything marked with an ** ) . - if a cat has a loner or kittypet background / heritage, some prefixes may exempt the rules due to this or adopted kits with kittypet/loner backgrounds who wish to keep their birth names ( if they had any ) this must be stated upfront in the application form for it to be accepted - if a character canonically speaks another language ( with perms given ) they may name their kits in that language, however they must still follow all other rules ⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . q&a . - is ( insert prefix ) alright? it depends on the prefix, feel free to leave them down below and a RC staff member can tell you whether or not they’d be acceptable - what would happen if all my prefixes got rejected? i ( or another staff member ) would inform you about it and you’d have time to come up with substitutes, if you can’t come up with any substitutes then I can always give suggestions upon request - how long do I have to think of replacement prefixes? while there is no specific time limit, it is preferred you answer as soon as you can, like I said above I can always give suggestions to hopefully help the process move smoothly - what if I have questions that aren’t covered in this project? feel free to ask questions in the comments of this project! we’re always open to answering questions and will gladly answer them to the best of our abilities ⎈~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⎈ . afterword and credits . thank you for taking the time to read this, hopefully this will clear up any confusion for those new to the nursery system or for anyone that has questions.
