CHAPTER NINE: A stroll in memory lane. “Eight years ago we were the best of friends until we started middle school. We made a pack to be friends forever, no matter what but that broke not too long after. Years passed since we had started junior high; When we were in ninth grade we no longer talked due to one of us trying to kiss the other's girlfriend.” Brayden tells me, speaking up. Rusty frowned at hearing these memories. “Oh..” I mumble. “Thats terrible.” I say. “Yeah..So that's why you have to pick one of us…To stay friends with,” Bray tells me. “Wait what?!” Rusty and I ask. “It doesn't need to come to this bro- We can make amends and Cilla can stay friends with the both of us.” Rusty tells Bray. Bray shook his head. “No, I dont want to be friends with you again.” Brayden tells him. Rusty sighs. “This is between us, dont make Cecilla suffer because of that.” Rusty argues in his nicest voice. I watched the two boys argue, i didn't realize then, but they argued because of me. Bray sighs, “Fine. But dont expect me to get along with you Traitor.” Bray grumples. “Fine.” Rusty mutters. Mr Davison interrupted us handing each of us a school field trip waiver. It was a off white sort of colour, with dim blue ink colour similar to Rusty’s eyes. It had a logo of three diamond shapes on the top of the right corner. “Please get your parents to sign theses! It’ll be a trip of a life time!” My teacher told us. Rusty and I read the paper. “Machu Picchu and Easter Island?” Rusty asks our Teacher. “Yep! No questions Children,” He tells us, then in a quiet voice barely over a whisper he tells us, “You three are very important.” Rusty and I exchange confused looks. CHAPTER TEN: The offer from Rusty. Bray left without telling Me and Randy bye. We both sigh. “I’m sorry about him. We have a super bad history.” Randy apologizes. I ruffle his light brown hair. “Lets leave that in the past Rusty.” I tell him, smiling, looking into his dim blue eyes which i loved to look at. I liked how they had stars in them, and how they looked when light hit them a certain way. “Oh shoot-” I thought to myself, “No no no no no- I can not like Rusty..or should I call him Randy..” I shrugged. “Why’d you shrug Cilla?” He asks me. “Oh erm- Oh ya know..Thoughts..” I say, feeling my face flush. “Okay..” Randy shrugs off the response. “Do you need a ride back home? I could drive you if you want.” He suggests, smiling a bit. I could feel my heart racing, i could also feel my face get redder-and redder. I manage to nod. “Sure!” I managed to say. He nods. “Kay’ Ill go and get my car keys from my locker then!” He tells me, walking to his locker. “Oh No..what did i get myself into?! Why did i say ‘yes’?” I ask myself in my head. “Idiot” I mumble. I took out my phone and texted Griffin that i didnt need him to pick me up after school. There were dots in response from My Brother. I sighed. ‘I got i ride. Dont worry, you’ll get to meet him Griffin.’ I text back. ‘HIM?! A BOY IS DRIVING YOU HOME?!’ Griffin texted me, he started to blow up my phone with the words; Boy, Why, Dads gonna get mad, and i'm gonna embarrass you in front of him. I turned off my phone so Rusty wouldn't see the texts my brother was sending me. A few minutes later Randy returned to me, dangling his car keys. “Got Em!” He tells me, clear excited. I chuckled softly. “What are we waiting for?! I wanna show you my car!” He grabs my hand and runs outside to his car. It was a dark blue coloured Tesla.
