Everything was black, my legs ached as I tried to stand up. I gave up, letting myself fall. Someone was bound to notice me, right? I was almost about to give in, telling myself that it was over and soon I would go where ever the dead went when someone shook me. "Histeria!", the someone shouted. I opened my eyes, weakly. Why couldn't it all just be over? "Don't help me", I replied to whoever that someone was. It was someone really nice, with sunshiny blond hair and sparkling emerald eyes. He looked good, a lot. "Histeria!", he said. I tried to focus and that is when I got the worst surprise ever. It was Jake. Out of so many students, why was it always him? Couldn't i t be someone else? I ignored him, trying to d1e painlessly by will power itself. Better to d1e than ask for help from my so stupid and annoying friend-like Malfoy. Everything turned black. I woke up in the hospital wing, even the dim lights were blinding. "Hey. Are you okay? You passed out.", I heard Jake ask as he waved his hand in front of me. The lights seemed to flicker which hurt even more."Go away.", I muttered trying to fall asleep and escape the nightmare called reality."No, you have to tell me what's wrong.", he insisted. "No!", I exclaimed as I immediately realized the very reality of the situation. I needed an excuse to not tell him...."You never really cared until now", I said quickly. "Well, you still have to tell me.", he said, annoyance in his voice. Great, now I had to deal with one annoyed Jake and I wouldn't be surprised if he started to ignore me like how it happened at Malfoy Manor. "Just tell me when you're ready.", he said after a pause and started to walk away. I thought it would feel fine but the sound of his footsteps itself made me feel worse."Draco has been bullying me to do his homework.", I blurted out. If that didn't stop him, I didn't know what would. As expected, he stopped and turned to look at me. I looked down, as I felt heat rising up my cheeks. I quickly glanced at him, before looking back at my hands."Why didn't you tell me-" "Because you didn't even care. On my birthday you didn't talk to me. On the Express, you didn't. On quidditch, you didn't.", I hadn't planned to tell it out that loud, it was really a whisper but the hospital wing was so quiet that it came out loud. Atleast enough for Jake to hear. I took a deep breath before continuing. He deserved to know. "And I thought you were mad at me for running away, so I ignored you.", I said. "I'm sorry.", he replied. His voice was soft, and something about it made me feel really guilty. Wasn't I being over- dramatic? I wondered."I wasn't mad-wait. Did you read the note anyways?", he asked. "Yes.", I replied unsure about what was going to happen next. "How many sentences were there?", he asked. Oh, I had not counted sentences. "Three", I replied hoping it was correct."There were five!", he exclaimed."Actually, never mind about that-what kind of effect is Draco's-?" "He's asking for my homework every day, so my grades are getting low and I haven't got time to eat.", I replied sulking. "I-Sorry. I'm sorry for ignoring you.", he apologised. It was genuine, I could tell."I forgive you, but I'm sorry too.", I replied with a slight smile."But if anything like this happens again, you've got to tell me. He's my brother, after all. No matter what, you've got to tell me.", he insisted. I just nodded.''Thanks'', I managed to say with a smile. Things were back to normal, and it made me feel good. "Malfoy sucks, Malfoy sucks, Malfoy sucks-" A girl kept on whispering in Jake's ear. It was Marcella. A Weasley. An adopted one. Inka, who didn't talk much, managed a satisfied smiled. We were in the library, studying for Potions with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Jake, Isabella, Gracie, Everleigh, and Ginny. "Serves you right." Inka said. "Shut up Inka, I'm trying to study-" Jake said. Everleigh said. "If I get an E, a P, or a D in my future O.W.L.S. and record, I'm doomed." "What's wrong with one of them? Miss Chang the Clever?" George appeared. "There's another; Troll." Everleigh paid no attention to his remarks. "Why're you studying for a thing that's 3 years away? Try and relax, Leigh." Hermione said. "I can't. I've got to get a clean record." Everleigh replied. "Just leave her." Harry whispered to Hermione and Ron. "She'll get over it."
Meanwhile, Marcie was still chanting 'Malfoy sucks' in Jake's ear. "Shut up, MARCELLA.", Jake said. Marcie stopped and looked at him, horrified. "What did you say?!" "I said MARCELLA. MARCELLA ODESSA WEASLEY." I replied. "WHY YOU-!" She raged. "Don't speak my named or else-" "Or else you'll make out with Finnely Swift? Oh, I would love to see you try. MARCELLA, MARCELLA, MARCELLA, MARCELLA ODESSA WEASLEY-", he teased. "MALFOY!" She raged. "Calm down Marcie, Madam Pince will hear us!" Hermione warned. "Correct. Also, the blonde idiot isn't worth it." Everleigh glared at him. I hid a laugh. Atleast someone else understood that Jake was really stupid.
