Okay so, I'm not gonna name any names but there has been drama with the Kirby art contest. Basically, I'm hosting this art contest to have fun, and I'll let anyone in if they ask. But if they break the rules, that's a different story. I hadn't checked Scratch for a day, so when I went to check my notifications the next day, I ended up with 22 (which is a lot cause I usually only have like 2 a day.) Apparently, my art contest had gotten kind of popular, so I wasn't surprised to see a few people had asked to be in it. So when I let them all in, well, you could assume one of them would cheat. If you assumed one of them did, you're correct. It's not mainly the fact that they COPY and PASTED an image from Google into a project, but the fact that they ERASED the artist's name and REPLACED IT WITH THEIRS. How did I know? Well, a few things were extremely obvious. 1) Their handwriting looked TERRIBLE compared to their art, usually if someone's really good at art, they have really good handwriting too. 2) When I looked inside the project, part of the background was transparent whilst the other part was white, like they added an image but didn't add white to the transparent part. 3) The name of the picture was a name of a download. Which is proof that, they downloaded the picture. 4) The other art on their profile looked NOTHING like the art they submitted. But they denied it. After they knew that I was suspecting them, they changed the name of the picture so everyone else who came along wouldn't know it was fake art. When I confronted them about this, they got really mad and said stuff like "HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF I CAME AND SAID YOUR ART WAS FAKE?!" First of all, I never said it was fake. I said I was suspecting of it. Of course, they kept on yelling at me and so on. I asked someone (again, not gonna say names) if they could help me clarify if the art was fake or not. They Google reversed it, and indeed, it was from the web. The cheater later took their project down once they found out we knew to pretend to be innocent (lol). The thing is, it's not fair to people who worked hard on their art for someone to just cheat. If you would like to apologize, please in my profile. I will delete the message once I see it, so that nobody throws hate towards you. You know who you are.
