Hi! I answered this for funzies! — 1: What story will you be using to answer these questions? How would you quickly describe the storyline? A: I'm using my story posted on here, but on my alt account, @--ChildOfLlumenn--, called Isle of Ryth. The storyline is two separate povs, one following a banished soldier turned thief, and one following the prince of a nation that is dying from the inside out. 2: What inspired your story? Um... honestly, COVID. I had a lot of time locked away with nobody but the characters in my brain, so... 3: Does it take place on Earth or in a made up land? In what time? It takes place in a land I call Katharr, on a continent called Ryth, though another (lost) continent called Errilyia is frequently mentioned. It's a vaguely medieval time period with lots of anachronisms. 4: What’s a favorite place in your story and the events that happen there? My favourite place is actually not mentioned explicitly in the chapters that I've posted on here, it's going to be in future chapters, but it's called Itari's Heart. Ryth & Errilyia used to be one continent, and in the centre of the continent was a ring of mountains, and the space inside the ring was called Itari's Heart since Itari is the deity of their world. A bunch of big dramatic history events that ended with the two continents being split apart happened there. 5: Who is your protagonist? What is their mission? My first protagonist is Maethor, and as far as she's concerned her mission is to steal things, not die, and avoid whoever's searching for her. My other protagonist, Caelleum, wants to find her. 6: Who is the most underrated character in your story and why? The most underrated character in my story is a person named Kellin. He is named after an ancient hero in his race, but he's a complete and utter coward and in a lot of ways reflects me, so that's why. 7: What two characters have the most interesting relationship (good or bad)? Caelleum and his father, the ruling Feylord Enoriem, have a really interesting relationship (bad). Enoriem has some... mental issues due to his literal kingdom burning down and his wife, Cael, dying, and it's bad enough to the point where he can't say Caelleum's name because it reminds him of his wife, plus a bunch of other stuff that makes their relationship complicated... like brothers/uncles who are evil dragons... 8: What are the conflicts of the story? Do you have villains? The conflict of the story is pretty big and honestly in a lot of ways the protagonists are their own villains, but there is an overall archnemisis: the Dragonking, formerly known as Esorius Tallien Llumennor, ex-prince. 9: Which character is the most misunderstood? Probably Much, one of the two twins Maethor sort of adopts. He ends up making a pretty crappy mistake *no spoilers*, but a lot of people don't realize his motives for it 10: Is there a character the most like you (or even based off you)? What qualities do you share? Again, probably Kellin, and then also Maethor, though I could never be as cool as she is. Kellin is afraid of a lot of things, like me, and one of Maethor's obvious deep fears is that she is alone, also like me. 11: Is there an animal sidekick? Nope! Not really! I mean, sort of, I guess, but not in the chapters I've posted on here. 12: Who or what acts as the comedic relief? The twins, Much & Worth. They're 12-year-olds who honestly need to keep their brains in their skulls (if they have them, which is doubtful) 13: What is the underlying message or moral of the story? There's quite a few, but the main one, I guess, is that there's always hope? Like, I put my characters through crappy situations. Their lives literally suck. But, everything does work out, for good or for bad depending on how they choose, and there's always hope 14: What are some symbols or hidden meanings you have placed? The loss of Errilyia to the feyries symbolizes the loss of my own home during the pandemic, which is a long and complicated story but yeah. 15: What genre would you consider your story? Fantasy 16: What type of media is your story (book, animation, movie, play, etc)? Book 17: What’s a song that matches an event or character in your story? oooooooh I'll Be Good by James Young really sounds like it's from the point of view of Maethor, reminiscing about her life and her past and the darkness around her. 18: Is it a cast of people, animals, or both? People, and then both in the chapters I haven't posted yet 19: What’s something funny or ridiculous that happens? The Mayor of Dust City gets absolutely humiliated, kidnapped, and robbed in the middle of a parade he threw in his own honour, since he's a snob. he should've known better than to throw himself a party in the middle of a city of starving thieves. what an idiot.
20: What’s the biggest obstacle your protagonist must overcome? For Caelleum, it's the people around him, such as his father, who he wants desperately to please but fails in every corner, and his people, who don't believe that he is a fit prince and want to kick him out of the kingdom For Maethor, it's herself and her past 21: Does anyone die? How does it change things? Somebody does die but I can't say who because spoilers 22: Which character would you choose to be your friend? Who would you not get along with? I would choose.... I would choose Caelleum. He needs friends and I need friends, and he's really sweet. I probably wouldn't get along great with Maethor but that's okay 23: If any, what weapons are used? SWORDS YES YES YES knives, a lot. Rope. Does giant horses with wingfeathers dipped in metal so they have wings that are basically giant knives count? they're called destryers and that's copyrighted so 24: How does your story differ now from when you first started making it? oh boy I'm running out of space to write... but I started writing this story when I was just barely 11, and now I'm 15, so the story has changed a lot in terms of tone and maturity 25: What’s something interesting about your story that wasn’t asked about here? There's a sport in my world called Dyrslast. You should look it up. ~~ actually these are really good questions thank you
