"It was a beautiful day outside. Mario and Luigi were doing the same as usual. Fighting and stomping on goombas, koopas, etc. However, they encountered a "odd" type of enemy. On a battlefield up in the sky. Mario and Luigi remembered that field when they were together in a fighting game. Collecting a few power ups. They get up to check it out. It was just an ordinary goomba. So Mario was gonna do what he did to many others. Stomp on it. But before he could. The goomba somehow grew monstrous sharp teeth with plain old white eyes. It bit right into Mario's leg, covering it in some odd black goo. Luigi was able to kill it with a fore flower as they both went back to the kingdom. A few days later, Mario was I his room, not acting like the same before. Luigi came into his room, hoping everything was alright. But Mario said nothing. Just....silence. Luigi, hoping he'd get better, left his room, but, he somehow lost his hat in the room, as he went to get it. Mario was gone. Disappeared. Luigi noticed and started looking for him. He also went to find the princess to see if she could help. But he he went outside.. it was nothing but goo. Black, glitchy, goo. He had no idea how all of this came cause of that one goomba, but he went out, trying to not even touch the darkness. Until, he found his brother....."
