At Matsumoto Station in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, a broadcast from the Japan National Railways era (around 1986) is still in use. The voice actress for this broadcast was Toshiko Sawada, famous for her voiceover in the anime "Heidi, Girl of the Alps". In the old days, station names at major Japan National Railways stations were spoken with the end of the word extended when a train arrived, so the same ending was used for station broadcasts to make the station speak with the end of the word extended. Because of this, fans called her "Ueno Obasan" or "Matsumoto Obasan" (this broadcast was also used at Ueno Station, but disappeared about 10 years ago).
