Ace sighed “Scylla, you know we shouldn’t be out here… Especially this late out.” She said, her eyes darting around uneasily. Scylla scoffed, rolling her eyes. “Oh please! Don’t tell me you believe in those silly stories Ace!” Ace glared at her, scowling. “Yea, well excuse me if I don’t wanna get snatched up at night.” “That isn’t gonna happen, stop being such a scaredy cat!” Scylla replied. The two’s banter continued, that was, until Ace heard a rustle in the bushes. She stopped, glancing around and deciding to investigate, Scylla looked confused as to what Ace was doing, raised an eyebrow. “What are you doing?” She asked, glancing around and looking back, her confusion growing as she realized that Ace had disappeared. A sense of unease grew inside her, and a bead of sweat formed on her forehead. “A-Ace…?” She said, laughing nervously “You can come out now… you really got me there..!” She waited for a response, her eyes filled with dread and fear. A low hissing noise came from with in the forest, the noise growing slightly louder as the creature making the sound grew nearer. —————- TW: GORE | —————v She came face to face with the creature, and she didn’t have time to react or dodge before she was disposed of, part of her jaw falling to the ground. She clutched her face, screaming in pain as she fell to her knees. She looked up at the creature, which was one of shadow with bright red eyes. The taste of blood filled what was left of her mouth, and she eventually lost consciousness, her last memory being the creature staring down at her, then, everything went pitch black.
