Welcome to Coop! Coop is a card-based strategy social deception game based around concealing your abilities from your opponents. ~~~~~~~Instructions~~~~~~~ Currency are caps. They can be gained through certain abilities, or used to perform other abilities. Cards are your Flock, and you start with 2 members. You are eliminated from the game once you lose your all members of your Flock. You can only perform one action on your turn, and you lose your turn if you lose a challenge or are blocked. ~~~~~~~General Actions~~~~~~~ (always available) //Forage:- Gain 1 cap. Cannot be blocked or challenged //Hunt:- Gain 2 caps. Cannot be challenged; can be blocked by Owl //Ambush:- Pay 7 caps, choose player to lose influence. Cannot be blocked or challenged ~~~~~~~Card Abilities~~~~~~~ (if challenged a player must show the relevant character is in their Flock) Owl //Night Shift:- Take 3 caps. Cannot be blocked Crow //Strike:- Pay 3 caps, choose player to lose a member of their flock. Can be blocked by a Canary Canary //Camouflage:- Blocks Strike. Cannot be blocked Secretary //Salvage:- Take 1 card, return 1 card to the Nest. //Peek:- Choose player; look at one card, may force Salvage. Cannot be blocked Pigeon //Salvage:- Take 2 cards, return 2 cards to the Nest. Seagull //Gull:- Take 2 caps from another player. Can be blocked by Seagull or Pigeon/Secretary ~~~~~~~Central Mechanics~~~~~~~ - Lying (Bluffing) is the central mechanic of Coop, you do not necessarily need to have a specific Bird to use its ability. For example: if you do not have a Owl, you can still use its ability and gain 3 Caps as if you did, as long as the others do not call you out on it. - Catching others in their deception (Challenging) is also essential, as if you do, they lose one of their cards. The effect is unapplied and their turn is lost. - Lastly, more experienced players should be taking note of everything, planning ahead and knowing what Birds the others *should* have, greatly assists with knowing when to Challenge and when to stay quiet.
