The people who came to Phoe saw the many canals that the city uses today; even the many rivers that went through the city. Because of that many companies came to the area, and even many farms popped into the area as well. So Phoenix was created as a farming town! As time went on, people began to ask what the city should be called, for a certain time Phoenix was once known as Pummpkinville, then Mill City, some names that were suggested were Salina, Stonewall, and Phoenix.
