A young girl came to me Her pale skin dotted with freckles A quiver that was just hardly a quiver on her lips I know because I remember She stared into my eyes with this burning passion A fiery curiosity I respected so I wish I could have been like her Curious because she was oblivious Interested because she was clueless I wish I could have been like her When she asked me: "Remember?" A young girl came to me So many years ago Her stride was assertive and confident I'm not sure she knew how little she was Her sandals left imprints in the sand They were ovalish, but not quite an oval They had stripes from the sandal soles The footprints were clear and dark The sand was a blank tapestry beneath them But the tide was rising And all I could think was And all I could think was When she asked me: "Remember?" A young girl came to me Her memories lost to the world A young girl came to me Her drawing blowing away in the wind A young girl came to me Her footprints disappearing on the sand A young girl came to me Her brain hiding under all the knowledge it gained A young girl came to me She came to me and she looked at me She spoke to me and she asked me A young girl came to me, Gone the world's memories A young girl came to me Without a memory I thought As she asked me: "Remember?" Hi everyone! It's been forever since I shared a project on Scratch and I felt bad for being so inactive lately, so here's a free-verse poem! This one is kinda random lol to be honest.
