Technically, Frisk isn't her ACTUAL name, just the name you can put to activate for hardmode. In the beginning you can choose any name you want except for any character name that has a leading role in undertale. Fans of Toby Fox's game ASSUMED that her name was Frisk because that was common because seasoned players who needed a challenge, thus choosing hardmode, popularized the name. Now everyone wants to choose the name Frisk because there are so few leaders and many followers in the enigma we call human life.
