Moshe looked at Ahava. She looked nervous, but I didn’t bring it up. “Ah- ha, well…any idea how long he had been here?” Ahava asked. Everyone shook their heads no. “Well, then…um…Let’s go get some black clothing.” she said, leaving the stable, all the others followed. It was dark and eerie outside. they were sticking out like sore thumbs. We might still have dark clothing, but it was still visible in the night. Ahava has been acting weird ever since their encounter with the Jackboot. Glazing nervously at them and fidgeting and what not, like something was up? They had to walk in between the walls, which was weird, because they hadn’t needed to go through that before. The weirdest thing of all is that Ahava was calm after she looked back at us one last time. That was when the Germans jumped us, but not all of us. They didn’t jump Ahava. In fact, there was a jackboot, with only one boot on behind her. He had the same hair color as her. It clicked in Moshe’s and the others' heads, Ahava and the jackboot were related somehow, which meant Ahava wasn’t jewish at all. “You know, I really enjoyed your company,” She said sarcastically, as they were all being restrained, “but my real job was to get you all here.” She motioned to the area inside the walls. “Welcome to the ghetto, or should I say, your new home.” She looked over to the man behind her and handed him his boot back. “Here, you left this at the stable.” That is when it clicked, the German from the stable was the man behind her. The man nodded his thanks. Ahava looked back at Moshe and the others. “I didn’t really lie to any of you-” She got cut off. “Yes you did! You told us you were on our side! You said you wanted to help us!” Spir yelled, her sister trying to comfort her while being restrained. “Well…yeah, but that’s not what I was getting at. All your parents are alive, and they are all here. So, you all get to go back to your parents…after the normal inspection.” Everyone in their group was upset. It was clearly visible. Moshe the most out of them all. He was trying not to cry at that point. The one who had helped him when his mother got shot, the one who Moshe started to love, but now, he feels more depressed than anything. He trusted her and she stabbed him in the back.
