So this is some fanart I made of Perimedes in the cut song Cope With That. For some context if you aren’t familiar with the song: On the lotus eaters’ island, Perimedes ate some lotus and it temporarily cured his depression. Elpenor (who I like to think is Perimedes’ best friend) tried to convince Ody that Perimedes should stay (but, obviously, failed). This song is also where the melody for ‘maybe I’m the monster’ originated from, and Jorge made a video about it. - - (Elpenor) Maybe we should leave him… (Odysseus) What? (Elpenor) look at how he’s smiling - it’s the first real one in weeks! You don’t know him like I do Which is why you’d be perplexed But if you knew how he would hide the truth And deep down he was depressed… (Athena) don’t let him convince the other men! (Odysseus to Elpenor) so what? Are we supposed to abandon those who are hurting? Desert them? Leave ‘em out to burn when words are not working? (Elpenor) no, we support them however they need We let them be happy and free (Ody) it’s not my job to make him happy! It’s my job to bring him home! (Elpenor) how do you know he hasn’t found it? We shouldn’t make him have to go! (Ody) well Maybe I’m a monster! Maybe I’m in the wrong! Maybe I’m the problem that’s been hiding all along! I’m a slave to my ambition A prisoner of my drive! But I have got this mission, and I cannot compromise! And you’ll just have to cope with that. - - I felt like making something and I ended up with this. There was originally supposed to be a second winion up the top in my sketch, but I literally couldn’t be bothered drawing it. Maybe I’ll add the sketch later if I feel like it. Sorry I dunno why it’s so blurry I’m currently working on another one in the same style, but it’s Not Sorry for Loving you, I dunno For now Enjoy :) Edit (27/12/24): I gave up on the not sorry for loving you project. Now I’m working on the Ithaca saga! While crying six hundred thousand tears….
