~Hello, and welcome to my project~ October Book Recommendation: Why Would I Lie? Author: Adi Rule The book Why Would I Lie? By Adi Rule, is a young teen/middle grade novel starring protagonist Viveca North. She wants to be the Valedictorian of her High School senior class, and has worked harder than anyone else to get it. Her family doesn't have very much money, and she's hoping to be accepted for a scholarship so that she can attend the college of her dreams. Her life is going well, and she's in the top spot for Valedictorian. It seems like she's going to get it, when a new student named Jamison Sharpe comes along. Jamison is perfect. He's good at everything he does, and gets everything for free that Viveca works for. However, after Viveca does a bit more digging, she realizes that Jamison may not be as perfect, kind and honest as he seems. However, when she tries to tell people this, they refuse to believe her. Jamison does something extremely dishonest, and it looks like he's going to get away with it. Can Viveca stop him before it's too late? This book is incredibly good. The plot picks up almost as soon as you start it. I had trouble putting this down. Twists and turns make this a great read, no matter the season. 5/5 stars, highly recommended.
