Click to broadcast O to screech Bio: The Cuban giant owl or giant cursorial owl (Ornimegalonyx) contains to species which are, O. oteroi, and O. ewingi (possibly a subspecies of O. oteroi). It lived in Cuba about 126,000 to 11,700 years ago. It was originally described to be a terror bird in Phorusracidae in 1954 by Oscar Arredondo. There's another species called O. arredondoi which is a nomen dubium before oteroi was discovered.
