Make sure to let them know how much trust you're placing in them by telling them you're a therian. I know it's not easy, but they also have to know how hard it was to gather the courage, and how much you trust them. Also, make sure to explain what a therian is. That will probably help. Make sure they know it has nothing to do with furries, and it's not a gender or attraction thing, and that therians don't think they are animals.
