first things first: double-click the flag if you wanna play! this is just an ordinary platformer turned into a survival minigame. survive multiple characters made by other people as you run n' jump around one screen in an attempt to stay alive for the longest time possible! (you play as TSOS Blue in this, by the way.) you're not on your own though. there's items too! item list: Clock - Extends the stage timer by 15 seconds. Forcefield - Makes you temporarily invincible. (10s) Heart Piece - Restores 1 HP. Spring - Increases your jump height. (10s) Dash Arrow - Increases your speed. (5s) Mini Portal - Warp to a random location. rules: 1: You can't be overpowered. This'll make survival unfair for the player. (I will allow insta-kills on certain conditions, like how Ambei's beam will insta-kill you if you're immediately hit by it when it spawns in.) 2: Be creative! Mess with the player's vision, change up the map, alter the controls... just follow rule 1! Oh, and there's no character template. 3: You may add more music too. 4: No PNGs, please. (talking to you, @agjunaka with those PNGs always wearing propeller suits and whatnot.) 5: You may add more positive items too. I probably should've addressed that in rule 2... eh, whatever. 6: Lastly, you may add more maps to the map pool. controls: - left and right arrows to move, up arrow to jump. - down arrow to crouch. guide: - For a list of every character and their mechanics, check the Info sprite. - Every 2 seconds, you get one point. - ALWAYS pay attention to the stage timer when possible. - Having the Forcefield item active does NOT protect you from dying when the timer runs out. - When you die, the remaining time you had left is converted into points. 1 second is 1 point. - Dash Arrows will lower your jump height, so watch out! - As time goes on, the timer will speed up. Stay on your toes!
high-score thing is broken, it should track the most recent best record but whatever it doesn't affect gameplay reused code from this old project for the player and stage: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/861668290 btw the low-effort stage designs are just fillers for a map to at least run around in list of scrapped things for this remix: - map transitions. i originally wanted a much bigger map, but it would be much more work for those remixing to add their character in. - extra heart piece variants. this would end up clogging up the item spawn chances, so the +2 and +3 variants were scrapped. besides, they'd make survival too easy. - there WAS gonna be a diving mechanic where if you're in mid-air, you can press the down arrow to quickly fall back down to the ground. that was scrapped because i was having too much trouble. oh and the wall-climbing glitch is an intentional feature because i'm too lazy to fix it
