WHAT IS THIS? In the city where I'm from, there's an abandoned brewery that has this big, ancient digital clock billboard thing on the roof of the facility. It was installed in 1979. I've always thought this was a cool piece of history, so I recreated it with Scratch and got it working again, probably for the first time since the 1990s. FEATURES ✩ Mobile Friendly! ✩ This sign is a functioning digital clock that uses 12 hour time (24 hour time is not possible due to the way the sign was built). ✩ The sign also can display temperature in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit, however, it just picks a random number to be the temperature based on the month of the year and unfortunately cannot actually measure temperature. ✩ The sign has three modes: Off, Time, & Temperature. ✩ The background of the sign also is a daylight cycle that syncs to the time. The sky in the project will get darker as the sky in real life gets darker! CONTROLS ✩ Click/tap the buttons in the project to use the sign! ✩ Alternate Keyboard Controls: [SPACE] - Show/Hide On-Screen Controls [M] - Change Mode [U] - Change Units FUTURE PLANS Right now the sign has only three modes, but maybe in the future I'll add a mode so you can input your own numbers, or make it also work as a stopwatch or timer or something like that. Stay tuned! Feel free to remix if you have any cool ideas! CREDITS ✩ Thanks to @denyxSims for the sky artwork that makes the daylight cycle possible! ✩ Thanks to @the_wows for the fonts in the Notes & Credits. -UPDATE LOG- ✩ October 17th, 2024 - Project shared
