They were born to a more conservative family in one of the more rural areas and suffered abuse and aggression due to their acidic properties. When they turned 16 their mutation developed and they suffered even *more* abuse. Fed up with this life, they morphed into a bird and fled the state in hopes of finding a more accepting place. They passed out from exhaustion in the middle of Illinois where Snikt found them and brought them back to the X-Mansion. Since that day they've been absolutely inseparable. — They're a mutant, or an animal with abilities that are developed when they're in their teens. Klikk has the ability to shapeshift.
