You're my mortal enemy, huh? I guess you could be Only takes a few insults to have me going nuh-uh Though in all honesty You seem a bit of a daisy Soft petals, soft skin Dainty stem, dainty heart Needs a trim You're my mortal enemy, huh? I guess you could be, sure Only have to spew a few curses For me to go walking out that door But let's be real In this ordeal, Could you even tell me my own search history? You're my mortal enemy, right? Think you can trick me? Think you can game me? Think you can play me? Think it'll turn out alright? Well, see now... I'm not a great deck I'm missing a few cards Oh, I remember now You hid them in your yard You're some mortal enemy I have a history I dare you to repeat it back to me If you think you can play me Then try and reverse me When I go third degree On this rampage that is your epiphany Let's pay each other some respects Before we get down to brass-tacks To be my mortal enemy I expect some words comin' venally Come prepared Don't be compared I don't do scared Don't be despaired Cuz if you're gonna be my mortal enemy Then you might as well try to play me Wanna be my mortal enemy? Come to terms with honesty Play me? You can't Trick me? You shan't Hate on me? Your tries are just scant Wanna be my mortal enemy? Then, please, Gimme a reason for your siege
Hi guys, here's another random poem! The inspiration for this one is kinda weird lol tbh. So for school we've been having to memorize and perform poems in front of our class as prep for speech and debate, and the last poem I picked was "Still I Rise" by Maya Angelou (amazing poem by the way, you should definitely read it if you haven't already). Anyway, I was just kinda zoning out when I thought of this poem, and I guess it's inspired from Maya Angelou's poem. So... Yeah. Anyway, I think it sounded a lot better when I was chanting it under my breath than when it's read aloud lol, but either way, here you go! : ) Background image from Google.
