Warning: This contains mentions of people going missing and gay content. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Chapter 2 The lamps lit the darkened streets of the city, which clouds were drenching in a hard drizzle. Still, a few people were out and about this time. All them trying to get out of the rain they had believed that wouldn’t bother them, but was now sinking into their clothes. Ollie was relieved to get out of the rain himself as he walked down the subway station’s stairs. He did own a car, but had decided not to in order to stretch his legs because of sitting at a desk for hours. The subway was a dump, with overflowing trash bins and those people who look like they would want to sell you watches. A light fixture fizzled out on one side of the place. He was a little surprised to see that there were only a few people that stood around the subway station. Shiloh was right, He thought with a shiver. The city does seem more dangerous lately. Ollie walked by a wall covered in missing posters, some old and some new. A different name under the text “Have you seen me?” Hannah, Robert, Michael, Tom… He sat down on the end of a bench, and looked at the lit up board that stated where and the subways were going in descending white letters. Arsenic - 10:30 [Departed] Downtown Adams Square - 11:00 Talgerath - 11:30 He then glanced at the nearest clock, 10:44 he had just over 15 minutes until his subway home. He got up and walked through the eerily neer empty subway station and sat down on a bench grabbing the weeks paper The front page stated; “Missing Person Found. Other’s whereabouts Remain Unknown” After going missing for three weeks, David Garret mysterIously reappeared last saturday in the middle of 3rd Ave around 10:37 pm. Mr Garret has refused to tell authorities where he has been for the last few weeks. The government hopes to find out more about where he has been as well as the location of the others known missing. The photo under the article showed a man with curly orange hair that was braided into two braids just in front of his ears, he wore a green flannel and a worried expression. Ollie couldn’t really give the guy any thought because the lady over the intercom told him that his subway had arrived. It was the least crowded it had been in a while. Ollie couldn’t remember the last time there was so much room on a subway. He didn’t realize he had dozed off until the subway came to an abrupt halt. “Downtown Adams Square," The intercom woman said in her robotic voice. Ollie lived in a gray house near the center of Downtown Adams Square. He opened the door and just as he expected, a long meow stretched along the room. “Hello to you too, Spider," Ollie grinned, as a silver-gray Chartreux cat leaped onto the counter before letting out another meow of hunger. “Yeah, yeah, would it kill ya’ to wait one more second?” He took off his jacket before retrieving the cat food from the top cupboard and pouring the remainder into his cat’s dish. With a swish of her tail Spider leaped over and began devouring her long awaited dinner. “Greedy cat," Ollie sighed, before collapsing into a chair and pulling out his computer. ‘Oliver Flint’ shone in bold letters at the top of the log-in screen. He knew he probably should start redesigning the website like May had asked him. May. Ollie was a nice guy, but oh how he hated her. He knew it was unprofessional to loth one of his co-workers, even for the littlest of things, but the way Shiloh got when she was around, and May’s nonchalant reaction to it all. It made Ollie ticked. With a sigh, he tossed his laptop onto a coffee table before closing his eyes. Deciding to let the website be tomorrow’s problem. Spider meowed again, with her belly now full, and joined her owner in falling asleep.
