Imagine a world where we had only 4 fingers per hand, how would we count? It is believed that the number system we use today originated because we had 10 fingers so after we couldn't count more on our fingers, we grouped them into one more digits place. How would our numerals look if we had 20 fingers instead? Click play to find out.
Thanks to the Homework to create a code to convert decimals to Binary Numbers, I just wanted to take it a bit further. If you select a base of over 10, you may get a 2 digit base 10 number in one unit place. for this you can use whatever symbol you want, but I usually use 10 = A, 11 = B, 12 = C, all the way up to 37 = AA etc..
