History: The Cirrus Solara, the third vessel in the Nubis class of battleships was launched in 1900 by the Imperial Dalmaius Navy (IDN). It was inducted into the 14th Advance Fleet shortly after its launch as a frontal support vessel. The Cirrus Solara, named by Admiral Less Kiernon was the IDN's first vessel equipped with aircraft and a larger assortment of anti aircraft guns, along with keel mounted guns. The Cirrus Solara is armed with 8 14 inch steam/explosive main guns rated 14 Giss mounted in 4 turrets, 13 7.5 inch smoothbore guns, 16 35mm quad gun anti air turrets and 12 50.cal machine guns mounted in air bunkers. The Cirrus Solara, or just Solara is powered by 16 Burris Regal double piston engines mounted in a two pod configuration and 8 Burris Regal single piston engines mounted on the lower sides of the hull. The Cirrus Solara's hull is a Lestin-West tri bulkhead solid blimp, which consists of a solid metal hull elongated blimp cast in steel molds, which are painstakingly hand welded together. Three large bulkheads are then inserted in and welded to the hull, sealing the Nisekium steam tanks. The Solara uses 22 supercharged boilers to produce steam that pumped into the Nisekium tanks to keep it aloft. The Nubis class have a main bridge, located on top of the hull and a sub-bridge, located on the bottom of the hull, just forward of the hangar doors. These two bridges hold are where the captain and the XO (Executive Officer) are posted during battle, so that if the main bridge is taken out, the sub-bridge can still command the ship. In 1924, the Cirrus Solara was retrofitted to carry a small squadron of 10 N-XCII fighter bombers that are launched via crane rig from the hangar below the ship. The Cirrus Solara was posted to Als Meira in 1912, after 12 years in the 14th Advance Fleet to serve as a coastal defence battleship.
