Sin, cos, tan are trigonometric ratios that relate to the angles of a right triangle (triangle with a 90° angle). Blue: y = sin x, sin 0 = opposite/hypotenuse. Red: y = cos x, cos 0 = adjacent/hypotenuse. Orange y = tan x, tan 0 = opposite/adjacent.
