Soothing and relaxing art. This piece - first of many to come - was inspired by a deep love for space. The innumerable stars glimmer in the distance, dispelling the darkness like a lantern in a room of shadows. The kaleidoscopic sky is blanketed by a lexicon of colours stretching to infinity and beyond, as a final goodbye to the sun - already dipping below the horizon. From below, a gaunt silhouette gazes longingly at the picturesque galaxy through the lens of a telescope, marvelling at the fastidiousness of the universe’s creator. Ever and again the star will wink and blink down at him, and the gentle zephyr would toy with his matted strands of hair, but he is oblivious. He continues to stare through the telescope at the rapidly darkening sky. The curtain of encroaching darkness approaches.
