Hello, I'm Visii (the writer of KM) and I wanted to make a guide! Reshared just becayse Each slide has a section, I'll tell you when to go to the next. Founding DropletClan - Many moons ago, there were four Clans. AlliumClan, HawkClan, SolarClan, and ShoreClan. While fighting many moons of battles, ShC and SoC were allies, to the point of sharing territory on many occasions- especially during leafbare. One day, the ShC herbalist trainee, Dropletpaw, had an idea about the two Clans- merging them into one, a concept debated by the two leaders and their herbalists of the time- Fernstar and Shatteredeye from SoC, and Droughtstar and Finwillow from ShC. There was a decision to merge the two, and it began. However, in ShC, a cat, Heatherbeam, had a group against the Clans merging, so vey started the "Waterfall" plot. They set all of SoC ablaze, to kill Droplet and Fern, but failed. The group then lured a pack of wolves to SoC, leaving Fern on one life, when a battle finally began, driving Heather and veir group out of the north Cali Clan's territory, sending the group down to south Cali. However, Heather killed Droplet in the battle, though was struck by lightning after. While the Clans combined, Fin suggested the Clan be named after the apprentice who lost her life for them. The Code - The codes of DC have four categories. Stay on the same slide and check the comments for the code. When you're done, click again. The Ranks - Herbalist – The herbalist is the highest rank in the Clan and will work with sick and injured cats in the medicine den. They also work with Brightmoon, a messenger for the Clan. – - The herbalist's role is to allow all cats to be safe and healthy and to ensure a connection with the afterlife. – Tanglethorn – - Tanglethorn is drawn because they’re the better-known herbalist. - Leader – The leader is the cat officially in charge of the Clan, leading them into battles and calling all official meetings. They tend to be very close with the Herbalist, needing advice on what to do. – - The leader is necessary so that the Clan has a leader and someone to rely on. – Shellstar – - Shellstar is here because she's the leader. - Arbiter – The arbiter is a fairly new role, and the arbiter's job is to travel to other Clans, without needing permission, and negotiate with the leaders for something important- such as the end of a war. – - The arbiter is needed to make sure that the Clans can have a man in the middle to make sure everything relations-wise is running smoothly. – Mousepatter – - Mousepatter is here because he is the arbiter. - Botanist – The botanist is a plant researcher, who travels around to gather new herbs to plant in the herb garden in the right conditions. They're responsible for the upkeep and gathering of herbs to grow. – - The botanist is needed to keep the stocks ready, as without it the Clan may be in a dangerous position during droughts. – Petaldawn – - Petaldawn is here because xe is the botanist. - Deputy – The deputy is the Clan’s organizer, setting up patrols and helping the leader choose mentors. They also are the backup leader in times of crisis and will become the leader if the previous leader is no longer the leader. – - The deputy is needed for more authority and organization while having someone prepared to be a leader. – Flintskip – - Flintskip is pictured here because vey are the deputy. - Herbalist Trainee – The herbalist trainee trains under the current herbalist. They will learn to heal and speak with Brightmoon, and when their mentor finds them worthy, they will be given their official name. – - If nobody trained to be an herbalist, there wouldn't be any qualified herbalists. – Spiralpaw – - Spiralrain is pictured here as a trainee because she's the younger herbalist. - Botanist Trainee – The botanist trainee trains under the current botanist. They will learn to find new herbs or uses for herbs, and learn to garden and tend plants. When their mentor finds them worthy, they will be given their official name. – - If nobody trained to be a botanist, there wouldn't be any qualified botanists. – Blizzardpaw – - Blizzardkit is pictured here as they will be the botanist trainee. - Flower Tender – The flower tender role is given to warriors with conditions preventing them from completing all warrior duties or staying outside during the day. They tend to the numerous flower (not herb) gardens and make sure they're healthy. – - The flowers are important to DropletClan. – Ghostlake – - Ghostlake is pictured here because she's the flower tender, working at night due to her albinism. - Warrior – A warrior is a hunter and a fighter. The warriors of the Clan are usually treated with respect, and given apprentices when they are needed. Warriors are the building of a Clan. – - If there are no warriors, there is no Clan. – Chirpfang – - Chirpfang is pictured here because he's the warrior you know. (+)
(-) - Elder – The elders are cats who have retired from their previous roles or are incapable of working any job and have refused to become a flower tender. Elders are treated with respect and they've done all they can. – - An elder role allows cats to rest while being part of their Clan. – Tortoisepelt – - Tortoisepelt is here because I wanted to draw her. - Apprentice – An apprentice is a cat still training to be a warrior, learning from a mentor. Apprentices are kept from rogue borders unless it's a special occasion. – - Inexperienced warriors could kill the Clan. – Hivepaw – - Hivepaw’s here because she's also a demonstration for the next section. - Motherer – A motherer is a cat who is expecting/has kits and is living in the nursery or has chosen to be a permanent motherer instead of retiring or working other jobs. – - Kits would die without a parent to care for them. – Fawnspeckle – - Fawnspeckle is here because we love her. - Kit – All cats under 6 moons are kits, confined to camp until they're officially apprenticed. – - If there are no kits, the Clan will die. – Cypresskit – - Cypresskit is pictured here because she's your favorite. You may look at the next slide, and/or look at Hivepaw’s eye. The Eye Suffix - The -eye suffix is only given to certain cats by Brightmoon theirself, whether it be via $#%@%&^!)@(~( or simply at birth. It’s caused by a condition called ‘Brightmoon’s Eye Syndrome’ (BES), and is a permanent condition in the shape of a cat’s eye. All cats with BES will have inverted eyes (view example slide), but some may have drippy or shape eyes. Drippy eyes must be bandaged for a few hours to keep it from spreading, while shape eyes will show the emotion of a cat via a shape in their eye. (Eyes pictured here are Hivepaw, Hivepaw, and Dropletpaw in order) These cats will see out of their affected eyes normally under most circumstances, but will sometimes see cats with slight (or extreme) visual differences. This can help a cat know what will happen, and Brightmoon can see through these eyes. The suffix is given once a cat reaches warriorhood, and the BES patient may commonly be called upon by the herbalist and see ghosts. Please go to the next slide! (The one with Tigerkit wearing flowers) The Ceremony Flowers - For both warrior and apprentice ceremonies, cats are given flowers to wear. Additionally, trainees are given one flower or one leaf- depending on rank- and herbalist trainee graduates get a second leaf. Apprentices wear a necklace of flowers to show they've not yet mastered everything, but are trying, while warriors wear a crown of flowers to show they're able to balance more things in their life than before. Cats are not considered warriors/apprentices if their ceremony lacked flowers. Flowers? - A tradition from ShoreClan, cats now wear flowers instead of shells due to Dropletpaw's hyperfixation on plants. The sweet trainee loved flowers dearly, and the founders of DropletClan chose to honor that with a tradition to last a long time. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed!
