After publishing my Halloween-Christmas project and playing around in the editor, I immediately noticed that Jingle Bells sounded much worse when I played it via the Scratch audio editor than when I played it directly using play sound-- and that's just with my $2 earbuds, imagine using real headphones! So then I wondered, if I make a change to it in the audio editor, will it permanently lower the quality including via the play sound block. I experimented a bit, and, yes, it will. That gave me the idea for a self-remix: alternate between low and high quality versions of the same song using this project. Move your mouse and back forth to hear the difference of how much Scratch compresses audio and converts to mono when you make any change to it. Not enough to notice on its own, but noticeable in comparison!
