The three Clans- ThornClan, StoneClan, and FrostClan- reside in a valley called Stardust Valley. In the heart of Stardust Valley lies a sacred grove filled with ancient trees, their gnarled roots weaving together in intricate patterns. Within this grove, a small clearing serves as a meeting place for the Clans, called Stardust Trees. _____________________________________ ThornClan lives near the top end of the valley. They are the most protective of their borders, and they sacrifice their fur every day to drag thistles to the border, leaving only a small opening so they can travel to Stardust Trees. They live in a small hollow, surrounded by brambles. ThornClan was originally a group of rouges that joined in on the Clan life when FrostClan came into being. They hunt in the undergrowth and woods, and rarely they'll hunt in trees. They eat anything they can get their claws on, the primary prey being birds, squirrels, and mice. ______________________________________ StoneClan live in the middle of the valley. They reside in a labyrinth of tunnels, that every apprentice is forced to memorize. They are usually considered the most friendly Clan, never once starting a war. Some StoneClan cats are blind, but most have terrible eyesight and prefer the darkness, which may be a reason they don't start wars. Their blunt claws and large, wide paws are perfect for digging. They hunt all underground animals- moles, rabbits, and mice being the favorites. _____________________________________ Often considered the first Clan, FrostClan makes their home atop the snowy mountain at the bottom end of Stardust Valley. They are usually standoffish and cold, matching the personality of their home, but they don't fight much. They live in a cave near the top of the mountain, a half-frozen waterfall blocking it from normal eyes. FrostClan cats have sharp eyesight and very long fur, to keep out the cold. FrostClan is the only Clan that does not include a elder role- FrostClan believes in working until you die. _________________________________________ Deep in the woods, a mystical creature resides- at least in legend. It is supposedly a large, cat-like thing with long claws and a fluffy, fiery tail. Cats call it the 'Bandlock' in stories. Nothing much is known about it. StoneClan and FrostClan strike it off as legend, and ThornClan uses it to frighten kits in tales. But could it be true? _______________________________________ The Clans have ancestors, like any good Clan would. MoonClan is where all cats go when they die. Supposedly their spirit is caught up by the wind and they travel to the moon, forever to reside on the silver, shining plains. But if they did not fulfill the true meaning of a warrior in their life, they are sent out to be Stars, the angry twinkling spirits in the sky. ThornClan does not believe in this part of the story, but according to legend, if you see a shooting star, that means an evil cat has escaped the sky. If a cat is born underneath a shooting star, FrostClan will kill it, and StoneClan will be wary of the kit. ___________________________________ There is a small group of rouges that live in the aboveground section of StoneClan territory. They are few in number, so the Clans generally leave them alone. The leader is called Phantom... wait, where have we heard that?
