The graph shown is a bifurcation diagram with r on the x axis and the value at which the function stabilizes on the y axis. At around r=3, it splits, and there are now two values that oscillate. Then it splits again, then again, then again, and eventually, chaos. Hovering over the map shows all of the values of xₙ with r being the x position of your mouse.
