WEB: MOSTLY ALL FREE. Duolingo: Obvious, but it can really help with vocabulary and some grammar. It also has hiragana, katakana, and kanji lessons. This is completely free to use, but you can buy a premium version. You can also download the app, which you will probably do anyway. Tofugu: This is amazing for learning hiragana and katakana. They also have WaniKani for kanji. https://www.tofugu.com/japanese/learn-hiragana/ https://www.tofugu.com/japanese/learn-katakana/ https://www.wanikani.com/ NOTE: Wanikani isn’t completely free, but you can try it for free. kana.pro Extremely useful for practicing hiragana and katakana. After I learn a column from tofugu, I practice them here. APPS: ALL COMPLETELY FREE. Shirabe Jisho It’s a dictionary, but you can also make flashcards. Super helpful with kanji. I think it only works on IOS though. Kanji Teacher I personally feel like it teaches too quickly, but it has lessons and practice for all writing systems. It also has a feature called “paper”. you can write any hiragana, katakana, or kanji, and it will detect it and say whether you have good handwriting or not. I use it frequently whenever I learn some new kanji from the app mentioned above.
