[v2.0 development is very slow at the moment.] [v1.9 is out! Now, you get a sword upon defeating The Duke. This, along with many QOL changes, adds an interesting new challenge to the game with managing sword usage to survive as long as possible and to beat the high score.] (Scroll for info about the game.) Blue = Block Blue enemies using your shield. Purple = Parry Purple enemies using yourself. Green = Dodgeable, but unblockable. Green enemies pass through shields. Cannot be elite. Red aspects = Deals 2 damage. Fill color is whatever trait it is. Azure aspects = Elite Enemy. Elite Enemies rarely spawn (1/13-17) and they deal 2 damage, give more score, and move differently depending on the enemy type. Early game elite enemies cannot spawn naturally for the first 15 score to prevent unfair deaths. Yellow aspects = Boss, requires multiple hits to defeat and does 1 more damage than normal enemies. Traits are inherited by fill color. Normal enemies with yellow outlines are soldiers hired by The Commander. Deep Red = Immortal. Requires a special method to defeat… The game works in a “Swarm” system, with swarms that add an interesting challenge but also heal you by a small amount if you survive. A game about shielding attacks with either a shield or yourself. The shield points to your cursor and you move to your cursor. If you click your player sprite, you “Bunker” creating a circular shield that halves damage from purple enemies to be used in a pinch. Bunkering is intentionally almost useless later on in the game, being disabled by the final boss fight. This game was published October 24th, 2024. However, I have unshared it multiple times for patches and updates. Since you kept scrolling, here’s some lore for the bosses and their related units in the game. The Commander A weak minion of The Solvent who asks others to do his dirty work for a hefty sum of cash. As long as you can deal with his unethical tactics, you can defeat him. Universal Solvent: Enjoys rock music. A terrifying unit who can rush through crowds by harnessing Greenflame energy. It is said that they flow as if they’re made of water during combat. This is how they got their nickname as The Universal Solvent. Rushers: A terrifyingly fast Sprinter. They listen to rock music whether they like it or not purely out of jealousy for their boss, The Solvent. Elite Rusher: Moves fast. Too fast. Strikers, Boosters, and Homes: A robot trio mimicking Soldiers, Flankers, and Kamis made by The Duke’s army. Strikers and Thrusters usually end up in couples, realizing they counter each other’s weaknesses. The “Home,” however, is a brutal destruction-bot with no concept of love or enjoyment. Just run if you see one. Elite Striker: Goes extra fast with second set of burners. Elite Booster: New omnidirectional boost technology makes the most incomprehensibly erratic robot yet. Starries: Space aliens! Block them to become temporarily invincible. Missiles: An upgraded Burst, now with a robotic casing! Exclusive to some special boss fights. The Duke: Eats rocks. Rules over the armies of purple enemies, Seemingly a good “Final Challenge” before everything remains monotonous. Defeating The Duke awards you with the Sword. Remember how I said “Seemingly?” Seer’s Star: A red husk led by some strange dream of seeing the stars. They seem to have some spiritual connection to the Star Seer. [FINAL BOSS] Star Seer: A rumored god risen from a religious group centered around falling stars broken out of a prism supposed to project a fraction of its power. It’s design is inspired by the Nameless Deity from the Terraria calamity mod, The Ancients from Block Tales on Roblox, and, obviously, the background eye thingy in Calamity and the non-background eye thingy in Calamity 2.0.
[Warning: This game is potentially creepy at a certain point further than many have gone. I hope you’re fine with realistic eyes.] [Most Recent Update]: They Have Swords Now [v1.9]: • A Sword is now unlocked from defeating The Duke, being activated upon clicking your shield. It slays almost any enemy, including green enemies, although with a fairly long cooldown. • The alt soldier will become almost invisible for short bursts instead of just summoning the alt flanker upon hitting you. • Added Husks: New green enemies that can only be defeated by sword. They only spawn after you defeat The Duke for balance reasons. • Made April Fools even more funny and unfair. Set the "Fool" variable to 1 using the modifiers button in the opening menu to see this for yourself. • Made bosses take a while to teleport to a spawn along with having an actual indicator, which just so happens to make every boss pretty much fair and balanced. Yay! • @rezunoa399 I heard you complain about this bug a significant amount, which is Elite Soldiers (and The Solvent) bypassing bunkering. They don't do that anymore. They also have more of a warning before teleporting btw. • Remade the Bunker sprite. It's functionally the same, but it looks MUCH better. • Added some new Star Seer attacks and made some stuff look better in the fight. • Added various changes to content at high negative Spawn Cooldown levels. • Locked all robot natural spawns (non-swarm) until after The Universal Solvent. • Yes, The Solvent was renamed. • Added new Star Seer attacks and polished up some issues. • Shielder is SLIGHTLY smaller. • Added boss health indicators. • Remade the Elite Zapper sprite. • Reduced visuals for The Star Seer during the attack where they spam all previous attacks so you aren’t just blinded. • Shielder glows a little bit, most noticeable on backgrounds other than Day. • Added a menu and a load screen. There’s a few rare load screen texts, see if you can find them during gameplay. • Added modifiers. Modifiers can edit your game by adding an additional challenge or adding some new, cool features. You cannot set a new high score while using modifiers. • Remade Swarms in general and natural boss spawning after The Star Seer. Swarms should synergize more with each other, for instance, a Zapper and a Home to stun you and give you unavoidable damage. [EVENT 4]: If someone SOMEHOW gets 300 score, they can suggest something to be added ingame, and it will probably be added in some form next major update if cloud variables aren’t broken… Which they usually are… Good luck! [EXTRA CHALLENGE]: If someone SOMEHOW gets The Star Seer to get to his fourth and final monologue (where he’s just done with your antics), they should record it and link it to this project while mentioning me. I’ll do something cool if someone shows me a video like this. (Any remakes (not remixes) will be linked below. There’s also a studio called “Everything Shielded.” where i put anything like this.)
