I thought it would be fun to see how my art has improved since late 2023, so I made a project with some of the drawings I made every month or so that I think best represent my skill back then. ~! Click the flag to start !~ 1. ARGHHH NOOO I cannot look at this without burning my eyes out. It was the first time I'd say down and actually tried to draw something since I was 8 in 2020, and it showssss 2. I kind of changed my style for a comic I was planning to make. I like it fine, I guess. The anatomy is weird and the cats' chins just curve into their necks though. 3. A character for the same comic. I actually like this drawing. Apart from the atrocious shadow underneath her, it's pretty good for the time. 4. My fursona at the time.... yes, I had a furry phase... and the drawing on the right is cute, but you can tell I didn't actually have an art style. I was just kind of copying other styles. 5. Gay cats. I hate this drawing. I hate it. The excessive amount of fluff on Hazel's legs because I didn't actually know how to draw them, the weird poses, the faces, Lilac's head in side profile.... NO. 6. In 2023, I had a phase where I thought that putting a Pride flag on EVERYTHING was 'cute' and 'aesthetic.' Nuh-uh. Also, the expressions are terrible. 7. My Pride flag phase was also my OC warehouse phase. I've never used any of the OCs I made in that phase since. (Dip's side profile is sooooo wrong, and don't get me started on everyone's legs) 8. The legs are bad. The tail looks like a continuation of the body. The eyes are bad. The shading is bad. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS DRAWING IS BAD. 9. I actually don't hate this one. Sure, the anatomy is bad and the gray cat (Palestar)'s tail is a bit strangely shaped, but it's not a crime against humanity like some of the previous drawings. 10. Same for this one. It's kind of cute. (And yes, I gave her pansexual earrings, but they're so adorable I can't complain about my Pride flag phase). 11. Her shoulders are too narrow, the shading is meh, and I don't like how I drew her nose, but other than that I almost like it. 12. FirexSpotted shipart- OMG IT'S PRETTY AND THE SHADING ISN'T EVEN BAD *applauds my past self* The only complaint I have is that they're both really, really eating-disorder lever skinny. (And Spottedleaf's legs are weird, but I'm not gonna talk about that.) 13. This was one of the best drawings in this art style in my opinion. My only complaint would be that the shading is slightly too hard with the drawing and that the cat (Silvermist)'s neck and chin join without a line or anything. But it's really pretty. 14. My new artstyle. I feel like I had a better grip on cat anatomy by this point, even if it's not perfect. (the artstyle was 100% copied from one of Moonkitti's drawings) 15. CloudxBright fanart... the shading is weird and too strong. Cloudtail's face also would not look like that, and I don't like the anatomy. Altogether, I just don't think it's a good drawing. 16. Art of an OC of mine, Twilightpaw. She's cute, but her head and ears are humongous compared to her body, and the way that her shoulders and back is drawn isn't the best. 17. My 'new style' which was really just FINALLY not drawing everyone's faces the same shape. The style is definitely the best one so far, but this drawing is really rough in terms of anatomy and stuff. Especially Hawkfrost. 18. An OC of mine in my new style. I actually like it. I can't find much wrong with it. 19. A bee-cat-thing. It's cute, even if the face looks a little strange. The legs actually look like cat legs for once. 20. I remember being really proud of this drawing, and now I'm not really sure why. Her shoulders and back look strange right above her haunches and her paw looks a little off. It's a cute drawing, sure, but not amazing. 21. I still really like this one. It's not perfect like I originally thought, but for the most part the anatomy, pose, and shading is good. Her back looks a LITTLE weird though, and her front right foot doesn't actually look like it's touching the ground. 22. My most recent drawing on here- hypokit siblings! I'm so proud of this. The anatomy is good and I love all the detail. Plus, the style is a bit more realistic than some of my other drawings, which I like. And that's all! Hope you enjoyed watching my art evolve and get better. Bye :3
Btw I'm not queerphobic or anything, my past self was kind of just... using LGBTQ as a style choice and I don't like that attitude.
