Trapped on the back-foot, and running low on resources, it's finally time to make a final stand in a last ditch effort to survive and escape this nightmare! When selecting a map: CLICK to cycle through the different maps, and use E to start playing. Controls: WASD to move around, slide the mouse in different directions to look around, Z to pull up a radar map, and CLICK to shoot at enemies.
This was made using @griffpatch 's 3D engine tutorial. I used two Earthbound tracks, Battle Against a Machine, and Porky Means Business. The maps, enemies, and shooting were my design, though. You can expect to see modified versions of this engine in future projects, hopefully with far more intelligent opponents. Looking back I kinda wish I paid more attention to the tutorial, because I was forced to cut a lot of content due to a bug regarding how many costumes could fit within the pen sprite. And I'm a tad disappointed with how small the maps had to be. I had to rework the enemy AI half a dozen times due to each new map I added being more and more cramped. Maybe that's why I'm so unhappy with the enemy AI... Shifting gears to something more positive, I still love my Skeletrooper designs. The story behind their origin is pretty fun as well. Basically, I was sorting through all my old Lego Minifigures, and found an overabundance of Minecraft Skeletons and Stormtroopers, and got the Idea that there was a Skeleton Supremacy act called TEAM KOSTRA, founded by SKELETRON, a guy who was cursed with immortality, and decided to turn earth into the afterlife he was ripped away from, by any means necessary. After all, It's far easier to fix a world if you have it in the palm of your hand already... Woah. That got dark. Uh, anyway... Suraimu is a done deal for anyone curious. No more updates, No postgame DLC, Nothing. It was a project that I still take pride in, but I am also happy to put behind me. Um, Here is the point value for each enemy unit for anyone interested: Trooper: 100 Pilot: 300 Officer: 300 Commander: 1000 Spec-Ops Trooper: 200 Spec-Ops Commander: 2000 Shipmaster: 5000 Wow. you actually read all of my ranting, you must either be insane or you knew me in real life. likely both, honestly. Regardless, you deserve a little extra for wasting all this time, so I'll let you in on a little secret... "If you click on the dropships control panel during the map select, you will activate a super hard mode for Firefight!" Well. That's all, really. I don't got much to add, so... Bye!
