When he returned, Levi praised Moshe, and Nathan thanked him and put the bread on their singular table to eat. They were talking about the plan that they were thinking about for the past few years, their plan was going to be set into action that night. After they ate, they acted like they were going to sleep. Then they all snuck down the stairs and onto the street. They stayed out of sight, and made it over to the exit, when they ran into the German from before, the one that is related to Ahava. Nathan and Levi fought him quietly and knocked him out. They stole his gun and climbed over the wall and jumped over the barb wire on top. Ahava was on her way with another group of kids when she saw Levi, Moshe and Nathan. Nathan and Levi pushed the kids away from her. “You know, I really enjoyed your company,” Moshe started sarcastically, using Ahava’s words against her. “But all things must come to an end” Moshe aimed the gun at Ahava and shot… Ahava hit the ground and blood ran through her hair. The little kids screamed when the gun went off and Levi and Nathan tried to calm them all down, but they wouldn’t, so they dragged them all away from the ghetto before anyone could see them. Levi, Nathan and Moshe all had a new goal now, take care of all the children who lost their parents. “Is that really what happened, Grandpa? Uncle Levi and Uncle Nathan and you helped other kids like how you were?” Moshe’s grandchild asked him. “Yes, Spir. You know, yours and your sister were named after Ohr and Spir from back then” “Really?” “Yes” “Grandpa? What ever happened to Great Grandma and Ohr and Spir?” Ohr, the other grandchild spoke up. “I-...I don’t know. I-- I never seen them again” Moshe started to tear up “Ohr, Spir, don’t make your grandpa cry now” a voice yelled from another room. “They aren’t making me cry, honey” Moshe yelled back to his wife. “Just bring back old memories… stories that needed to be told.”
