Chapter 14-Unexplainable Letters Rosalia was in the Great Hall, happily humming a tune without a care in the world. Without caring that Terry and Anthony were still arguing. Without caring that she would have Research Classes in a few months. Without knowing or caring that her day would turn upside down in a few minutes. She sat down next to Luna and took a spoonful of her cereal. Then, a barn owl landed next to her, a letter clutched in its claws. She took the letter and told Luna: "Must be from my parents. They're on holiday." She opened the envelope and then the letter, and what she saw next nearly made her heart stop. It said: "Be careful where you step. Be careful where you see. Be careful where you breathe." "W-what is this?!" she stuttered in shock, her face pale. Luna hunched over and read it in shock. "W-who is it from?" Luna asked, scared. "I-I don't know!" Rosalia replied fearfully, "Be careful where you breathe?! What is that supposed to mean?" Then, she saw Ariana about to get out of the Great Hall. "Wait a second." she told Luna She approached Ariana with the letter clutched in her hand. "Ariana," she said, "I've got something to show you." "OK?" replied Ariana, confused. She showed her the letter and Ariana's face went pale. "Who-who could've sent this horrible letter to you??" shouted Ariana. "Hush!" replied Rosalia, "I can't have anyone finding out about it. Do you think I should tell Professor Flitwick about it?" "Yes! Of course!" replied Ariana. She turned around to walk out the Great Hall before turning back. "C-can you accompany me?" she asked Ariana. "Oh, yes, of course!" she replied, "I'd be wicked to let you go alone!" They walked out the Great Hall while trying to both walk fast and slow enough to not seem suspicious. Out of nowhere, something grabbed Rosalia's leg. She looked below and saw a green, vine-like creature. "W-what is that?!" she screamed. "What's what?" replied Ariana, both shocked and surprised. "THAT!" she pointed to where the creature was. "Lia..." Ariana breathed, "T-there's nothing there..." "What do you mean?" asked Rosalia, "There's obviously—" The creature was gone. "Obviously what?" asked Ariana. "The creature's gone..." "Gone? Come, let's ask Professor Flitwick about it." "Agreed." They hurriedly ran off to Professor Flitwick's office where they saw him reading a book while mumbling something. "P-Professor?" Rosalia said as she knocked on the door, "I-I um, got this letter today, and it isn't signed..." She showed him the letter and he turned the palest of all the people who had read the letter. "Dear me!" he breathed, "How? Why? What?" He ran out the door but came back to say "Wait here!" "A-alright..." the two girls said in unison. Just then, Everleigh ran in, panting. "Lia!" she called, "This letter came in just now. Luna told me what happened in the Great Hall, so we opened it earlier, and you must see what's inside it!" She gave her the letter and Rosalia opened it fearfully. It said: "The creature is called a Divitis. A creature I creatured myself. Be careful where you step. That is my warning. Unless you want to face the same fate as your father." "W-what?" she gasped, "What?!" "D-don't worry!" Everleigh said, "Professor Flitwick knows! If he knows, Professor Dumbledore will as well! Y-you'll be safe, won't you?" She stayed quiet. Then, Professor Flitwick appeared. "Miss Estelle, please go back to your dorm and stay there for the rest of the day." he said, "Miss Malfoy, please carry on with your duties. And Miss Chang, what, may I ask, are you doing here?" "S-sorry, Professor," Everleigh replied, "I just wanted to deliver a letter." Rosalia handed the letter to Professor Flitwick. He read it for a few seconds and nodded. "Yes, this supports for you to go back to your dorm, Miss Estelle." "Alright, Professor." She went out of the office with Everleigh following her. "If you're going to be in our dorm the whole day, then Luna and I are accompanying you!" she said. "Thanks." Rosalia replied. They went to the dorm where Luna was. "So, what do you want to do?" Rosalia asked. "Maybe we could read!" Everleigh replied. "Great idea!" both Luna and Rosalia replied back in unison. "What book?" Luna asked. "Do you guys like Muggle literature?" Rosalia asked. "Never read any, but sounds interesting!" replied Luna. "I once read a Muggle book, really enjoyed it!" Everleigh replied. Rosalia then pulled out a book called "Anne of Green Gables" "Let's take turns reading them!" she suggested. The other two agreed. Rosalia read first, then Luna, then Everleigh. They had a wonderful time and Rosalia almost forgot about the letters. Until the next day. Rosalia woke up from the sound rustling. Rustling? She opened her eyes to see hundreds of letters lying all over the place. "Merlin's beard!" she exclaimed, "What is all this?!" (Rest in the notes and credits)
