She guided lost souls (living and dead) out or into the ocean. But one day, she was careless and drowned a forest inhabitant while trying to lead them to shore. The sea goddess, seeing this, punished Xylo for tainting her ocean with red. Knowing that Xylo feared the trees, she bind her to the forest, by poisoning her with the forest god’s ichor, and forbade her from leaving the trees. The poison spread through her upper half, limiting her vision and burning her if she ever tried to leave the forest and touch light. The only way to remove the poison, was if the sea goddess lifted the curse from her, or if she guided enough souls to her liking. Blinded with fear, Xylo only caused more destruction in the forest, angering all of its inhabitants. She was chased the far edges of the trees, where she was at risk of being burnt every day. She sits there every day, waiting for the sea goddess to lift the curse and welcome her back into the comforting light of the seas. Unbeknownst to Xylo though, the sea goddess had been ki//ed centuries ago after cursing Xylo. ________________________________________________ I think the reference page is a little too cluttered…
