Chapter 15-Sacrifices Rosalia opened her eyes slowly. There was a very bright light. She blinked. Some people were there. But who were they? She blinked once again. This time, she saw all her friends. Immediately, Ariana hugged her. "Lia! You're alright!" she screamed. "I suppose so..." Rosalia muttered. "Off! OFF!" it was Madam Pomfrey's voice. So she was in the Hospital Wing. Rosalia had noted that despite Madam Pomfrey's seemingly strict attitude, she was very nice. It was then that she had also realized Professor Dumbledore there. "Hello, Miss Estelle," he said calmly, "I've read the mysterious letters a person has sent you, and we have not yet found the solution." "A-alright..." Rosalia sadly said. "So," he continued, "The best thing to do is to stay in your dorm for now." He received a nod in reply. He as well all the others were kicked out by Madam Pomfrey. She fed her some very bitter medicine and barely let her do anything except sleeping. "You'll recover quicker if you rest a lot!' she said. After a few days, Rosalia was eventually allowed to read. "Don't overdo it, though!" Madam Pomfrey warned her. "I won't," Rosalia replied, "I'm going read some light texts anyway." Everleigh and Luna often gave her the books she had in their dorm and Ariana gave her books from the library. A week after being admitted to the Hospital Wing, Rosalia woke up on a sunny morning. "This pillow's uncomfortable!" she complained as she lifted it to smoothen it. However, she saw a piece of folded parchment paper under it. She opened it and read quietly: "Now you had ignored my warning. Face the consequences yourself. Soon it'll be worse. Wait and you shall see..." She gulped. "Oh no..." she thought, "This is horrible!" She hid it, trying to take her mind off of it. She grabbed a near by book and started reading a few pages. "OK, OK," she thought to herself, "It's alright, it's alright." Just then, Terry walked in. "Not him..." Rosalia thought to herself. "Hello!" he greeted, "I brought you this!" He handed her a fresh bouquet of flowers. "Thank you," Rosalia forcefully thanked, "Now, if you will please excuse me, I need to—" "And I need to apologize." Terry said, "I've been a little too clingy and if you would like for me to keep a distance from you, I don't mind." "That's" Rosalia replied, "A good idea." "Three months?" "Sure." He walked out the door but still managed to say "Anthony's on the same thing!" "Thank goodness..." she said, "I can finally get a break from those two!" In a week, she was discharged. She went back to her dorm to see it empty. "Luna and Everleigh must be off somewhere." she thought. She sat on her bed and began reading "The History of the Wizarding World" After a while, she finished it and felt bored. And so, she decided it was time to meddle her hair a bit and braided it. Every time it got even a little bit messy, she would start over again because she knew she had all day. After a few hours, she finished. She looked in the mirror and was surprised that she could do such a braid. It was covered in flowers from Terry's bouquet of flowers and her ink-colored hair was very smooth for the first time; she usually brushed it only a bit. "That's good enough," she said to herself. If she was being frank, she didn't think it was "good enough", instead, she thought it was a scrumptious braid. After that, she started feeling quite drowsy, so, she went back to bed and fell asleep. *** Tap, tap, tap. That was the sound heard. Rosalia woke up and saw a snowy owl outside the window, poking it with its beak. She opened it and took a letter from its claws. She ripped the envelope up and saw it was from her parents. It read: "Dear Josie, Rome is so beautiful! This is one of our best holidays ever! We terribly miss you and wish you could come! Let's go on holiday during the summer break! We're glad to hear that you enjoy Hogwarts! Have a good break! Take care! Love, Mum and Dad" Rosalia smiled. "Though I'll have to sacrifice my freedom," she whispered, "At least I won't have to give up my happiness," Then, she bent down to pick up a book. But for a split second, she saw a Divitis. She let out a gasp, yet when she blinked, it was gone. "I definitely am paranoid..." she thought. After a while, her friends woke up and they talked for a while. "I hope the letters won't come again..." she told them. "Well, as long as Dumbledore's here, I'm sure you'll be safe!" Everleigh said, "They say even You-Know-Who's afraid of him!" "Exactly!" said Luna, "If Voldemort's afraid of him, then whoever sending those letters would definitely be afraid of him, too," Luna, unlike the rest of the wizards and witches, wasn't afraid of saying You-Know-Who's name. Rosalia was one of the witches who were afraid of his name. (Rest in the notes and credits)
"That's a good point." replied Rosalia, "I feel safer now. Thanks" "No problem!" replied Luna. "Oh, it's time for breakfast," Everleigh said, "We'll bring you food soon!" "Bye!" both Luna and Everleigh said in unison as they walked out the door. And after that, Rosalia was all alone. "I wonder how many days are left 'till Christmas." she wondered to herself as she grabbed her calendar. "Five...." she counted, "Six, and seven. Seven more days." She was very excited for Christmas. She loved the spirit, atmosphere, and feeling of it. Most of all, she loved the snow. She loved making snowmans, drawing in the blanket of snow, and curling up with a mug of hot chocolate afterwards. "Even though I'll be cooped up here," she said, "At least I won't meet Anthony or Terry." Just then, Everleigh walked in. "Hi, Lia!" she greeted warmly, "Just your breakfast." She handed her a hot bowl of porridge, black pudding, and a cup of milk. "Thanks!" Rosalia thanked her, "I was getting quite hungry!" Everleigh soon left the room and Rosalia started with her breakfast (though she skipped the black pudding because she didn't like it very much). After she finished, she looked out the window, thinking what to do next. She sighed. "There's not much to do when you're stuck in a dorm," she thought. ✧✦✧ Author's note: The next chapter will be delayed, sorry. I'm taking a break. Credits: Thanks to J.K.
