About My Favorite Volleyball Player- Melissa Vargas is a Cuban born Turkish volleyball player. She was a member of the Cuba women's national volleyball team and was part of the national team at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Italy. Since 2023, she has been playing in the Turkey women's national volleyball team. Vargas began playing volleyball at the age of 6 on her street with her neighbors. She then started playing on her schools volleyball team at the age of 8. In 2021, she acquired Turkish citizenship which she then became eligible to represent Turkey in competition in 2023.
