We all knew this was coming soon wasn't it? Well. The time is now. Ever since my last birthday, I haven't spent a single cent on anything for the sake of one thing: Buying a better laptop. You see, my previous laptop was an old Chromebook, and Chrome OS can't handle anything. .EXE files, Installers, APKs, nothing except for bare-bones HTML files. So, after saving for a year, I finally bought a laptop that runs on windows and now I'm not restricted to Scratch anymore. I'm free to try out all the game engines I never had a chance to try now simply because of a new operating system. And now, after a bit of testing, the engine I have decided to use is: Gamemaker. The same engine Katana Zero, Forager, Hyperlight Drifter, Hotline Miami, Spelunky, and even Undertale were made on. Now I can finally join the big dogs of the GameDev industry. I can use a real game engine intended for actually game developers and maybe even achieve my dream job in the future. It's all possible now, and I'm all for it. Don't get me wrong, I've loved my time on Scratch, but I'm gonna be honest, if it wasn't for @SamIsTheMostPog and Chrome OS being absolute garbage, I would've left a long time ago. Including my old account, @kaylockthe3rd, I've been using this site for over 6 years. That's a big chunk of my childhood, and I'm sure I'll remember the times I spent here even as an accomplished adult. However, unlike the website, I grew up, and now I feel like I'm ready to start learning a more advanced engine. I can finally pursue my lifelong dream of being a professional game developer I've had ever since I was 7 years old. As I grew up and the Scratch community didn't, my love for it dwindled more and more as I had to watch friends and projects alike come and go. I'd prefer to be around a more mature audience, so that also influenced my decision in leaving (Not going into the community problem too much though, as that's another can of worms) Anyways, you can still find me on other sites like the ones listed here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1062286179/ I would like to personally thank: It's been fun, guys. These were some of the best years of my life. Thanks for enjoying my silly old Scratch games for all this time :) -, out
