A total of two T30 prototypes were built between 1945 and 1947.Both of them were tested at the Aberdeen Tank Proving Ground in 1948, but were not accepted for service. On February 1, 1945, the project was rejected by the US Army Command (AGF). The project was finally closed on September 1, 1950, along with the T29 tank project.
